The Cisco Catalyst3850-24L Dubai is a stackable switch designed for enterprise-level functionality, featuring 24 Ethernet UPOE ports within the LAN Base feature set. It can support up to 800W UPOE per switch, delivering 60W per port. Notably, the default switch configuration does not include the optional network module, although the Cisco Catalyst 3850-24L Dubai Series Switches offer compatibility with five different modules for uplink ports.

One standout feature of the Cisco Catalyst3850-24L Dubai is its integration of Cisco’s renowned StackPower technology. This innovative power sharing and redundancy solution, exclusive to the Cisco 3850 series, enables members of the stack to participate in one of two power pooling configurations. In the power sharing mode, the system aggregates and dynamically distributes power throughout the stack based on demand. Alternatively, in redundant mode, the stack polls and identifies the supply with the highest wattage, reserving it for potential failures and allocating power from the remaining supplies. Upon activation of the reserved power supply, the stack seamlessly transitions to power sharing mode. Importantly, this technology eliminates the necessity for an external Redundant Power Supply (RPS) unit, allowing users to effortlessly add another power supply for either redundancy or additional power to the pool.
